Help a Friend
Today is Friday, October 24, 2008. This week we read about animals helping each other to live and enjoy life. Why is it often better to work with others? Gracie thinks that if you fought with friends they would get mad at you and it would become a bigger fight. "If you don't work together then they will get mad at you and go tell someone," says Samantha. "You could climb a tree when you help someone else. You could give them a boost up," explained Tre. Anthony told us that if someone doesn't know how to swim, you could help them. First you could start them out with a floaty. Then you could hold them if you are strong enough. Let go and push. Tell them to move their legs and arms and off they go swimming.
We are studing about the upcoming election.
We checked out this website for lots of information about the candidates. Check it out at home with your family.

Talking about Sharing
Today is Monday, October 13, 2008. People either live alone or with others. Animals usually share their space. When does sharing make sense? “When you have a group of family, you share,” said Aubrey. “You could share your lunch with people that didn’t have one,” explained Haley. Anthony told us that if you have a hot tub and you invite friends over, you could share the hot tub with the jets on. “Like if someone in the family don’t have no house, you could share it with them,” Jake told us. Alec says you could share a T.V. with someone that doesn’t have one.
